Military precision.
Legal rigour. HE expertise.

16 years of re-framing compliance risk management
into a collaborative duty of care.

Remarkable Law Consultancy was founded by Peter Yetton — a former military, practising lawyer, and Higher Education compliance specialist whose career has been defined by a single purpose: protecting people and the institutions that serve them.

Peter YettonManaging Director, Remarkable Law Consultancy Ltd

The idea for Remarkable Law Consultancy did not begin in a boardroom. It came from 22 years of searching for greater positive global impact — a thread that runs through everything Pete has done.

In the military, the mission was to protect as many lives as possible. As a lawyer, it was to serve approximately 150 clients a year with precision and integrity. In higher education, it became supporting approximately 4,500 international students annually through the complexity of the UK visa system. Through consultancy, that reach has grown to approximately 200,000 students per year — and with B1G1 and global knowledge-sharing, the ambition is to positively impact over a million lives annually.

Pete founded Remarkable Law Consultancy Ltd in 2019 with a clear conviction: that UK universities were managing UKVI compliance reactively, and that the consequences of getting it wrong — for institutions and for the international students who depend on them — were too serious to leave to chance.

Since founding RLC, Pete has directly reshaped and enhanced the compliance frameworks of 13% of UK Higher Education institutions — spanning Russell Group, Red Brick, Post-92 and Private Providers. He has trained over 3,000 recruitment agents globally and more than 800 HE staff in UKVI compliance and international student management. Every institution he has supported has passed its UKVI audit — a 100% success record. Critically, he has also taken a sponsor out of a formal UKVI Action Plan and overturned visa refusals through Administrative Review.

In 2021, Pete received a national award for bringing military values into business — recognition of the discipline, resilience, and ethical framework that define his approach. Those same values underpin every engagement Remarkable Law Consultancy undertakes.

Pete is also the founder and CEO of AEGA (the Agent Education and Governance Alliance), a global initiative to establish trusted, verified standards for compliance and training in international student recruitment — with a  and a vision to become the global benchmark for compliance in international education.

22 years

Military service

A 12-year front line military career across two of the three UK Armed Services, cut prematurely short but with niche transferable skills, instilled the values that define everything Pete does: discipline, precision, authentic leadership, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to protecting people. How we work

Expertise over generalism

We do not try to be all things to all institutions. Our focus is narrow and deep — international student compliance in UK higher education. That specificity is what makes us genuinely useful.

Honest over comfortable

A compliance review that tells you what you want to hear is worthless. We give institutions an honest picture of their position — because that is the only starting point for meaningful improvement.

Operational as well as strategic

Strategy without implementation is just a document. We understand the operational realities of HE administration and design solutions that work in practice, not just on paper.

Proactive over reactive

The institutions that manage compliance best are the ones that treat it as an ongoing operational commitment, not an inspection exercise. We help institutions make that shift — and sustain it.

Let's talk about your institution

Every engagement begins with a conversation. Tell us where you are, and we'll tell you honestly whether and how we can help.
